Marshall Main Street Committees
The Four Point Main Street Approach consists of Design, Organization, Promotion and Economic Restructuring. Design:
The purpose of the Design Committee is to enhance the physical appearance of the Central Business District by rehabilitating historic buildings, encouraging supportive new construction, developing sensitive design management systems, providing design advice and guiding future growth and long term planning. The Design Committee meets 2nd Friday of the month, 9:00 a.m. City Hall/Main Street Office. Chair: Tim Sykora Organization:
The purpose of the Organization Committee is to build consensus among the many individuals and groups that participate in the revitalization process, raise money for projects and administration, manage staff and volunteers and manage the finances of the Main Street Program. The Organization Committee meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 8:00 a.m. City Hall/Main Street Office. Chair: Mark Stuart Promotion:
The purpose of the Promotion Committee is to market Marshalls downtown to customers, investors, new businesses and local citizens, create new image campaigns, retail promotions and special events. The Promotions Committee meets on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 9:30 a.m. Marshall Chamber of Commerce. Chair: Debbie Shubert Economic Restructuring:
The purpose of the Economic Restructuring Committee is to strengthen the downtowns existing economic base, identify opportunities for growth, recruit new businesses, develop financial incentives and monitor economic performance of the district.
